Changing the L to an E proberbly isnt a good idea... Confused

After a month? Ermmm, if you had someone on a quite destinctive (sp) bike hit, causing your car to be scratched and dented... would you forget it in a month?

not stopping can also be seen as a sign of guilt... as why else would you not stop if someone just pulled out into you...

Has it not occured to you that everything that people have said to you on this thread have been trying to help you?

I was simply pointing out what could well be a slight problem for you when you do go and speak to the police.

Anyway, it no skin off my back, so I cant be fucked to reply to this thread any more.

I wouldent worry about it, as others say its probably her not seeing you, and typically changing lanes at the last minuite, like dozy drivers do. Theres a roudabout near me with 3 lanes thats a known for people cutting each other up, and changing 3 lanes in 20 yrds.
Oh and what has you been doing parking outside this school anyways??? Smile

Back to the filtering thang - depending on the circumstances you can be done for undertaking. And if you're going too fast then also for dangerous.

Best thing to do with the filth is filter past but do it *slow*. Oh, and make sure that you dont go over solid whites while you do it.

i always filter past police but only at slow speeds and iv never got pulled for it. infact there was this one time when i over took loads of cars while they was waiting at the traffic lights and they still didnt do me for it, but as soon as i got past the lorrie that was infront of em i was full throttle all they way in and out through traffic, i must of overtook a good 4 mopeds on they cause i was shitting myself so much

Apparantly *overtaking* is illegal if there's solid white lines, even if there is enough space to overtake without going over the lines.

Yeah, the solids are illegal to cross, too hazardous apparently.
You Can't be done for "filtering". Dangerous driving or undertaking maybe, but if there's cars on your left you're ok. Doesn't really matter what speed you're going either, unless you're breaking the limit.
It would be a hard battle for and copper to do you for filtering because nowhere does it state that you can't. They also have to justify dangerous driving (filtering in a straight line aint exactly lethal) or prove the traffic was moving freely if you undertake (which I never do, it's much easier to get them on the right:)).

Hi

No, you can overtake on a solid white line. It is crossing the white line that is illegal. But it refers to any bit of the bike or you, so riding along with the tip of your mirror oover the white line is illegal

All the best

Keith

That's what I *did* think as well, however on the MCN TV programme they had some policeman explaining the finer points of the law... he said that was a common misconception, but infact any kind of overtaking is illegal.
(I'm not sure how that's interpreted if there's more than one lane going in the same direction Confused )

according to the highway code last time i read it, you cannot cross solid white lines, but you can overtake as long as you remain firmly on your side of the sold white line. So I think that copper got his facts wrong.
