Apparently I've got three ... (at the back, luckily - none of this flash front stuff with diamonds in, LOL), two of which I didn't even know I had.

I knew I had one, which had been put in when I needed a LOT of crowns/bridges a few years back.

But I got a new dentist about six months ago, and when he did a check-up, he went "Gosh, someone's been a bit liberal with the gold".

They're alright.
Not had any problems with them so far.

And apparently I got em on the NHS.
Go figure.

Got a gold crown on a molar on the right hand side, feels no different from a normal one, although I did have a funny taste for about a week after it was fitted...

Gold is cheaper than porcelain in dentistry from what I can tell.




I have had enough of stained teeth, brush them and look after them, but they are stained. I went to the dentist the other day for the first time in 10 yrs and was there for about 2 mins, everything was fine.

Im just really pissed off with stained teeth, I have tried the whitening stuff you can buy and the toothpastes but I am thinking gold teeth would be so much easier, all of em.

Everyones teeth are stained to a certain degree... are you just being paranoid about yours? My GF doesnt like her teeth.

LOL, yeah I know they can be quite chav/pikey ish but I do like the look of em, and feel it wold be so much more easier than trying to hide my teeth when smiling and talking.

ive got one, right molar.

Was a family dentist, was supposed to have a porcelin or watever, got home and hed given me a goldie, good job its at the back, as tbh i wouldnt get one, i like it, doesnt feel any different.

dont get them messed with, bleaching kits are okay and even getting veneers can leave teeth painful and megga sensitive, gold is naff the real mcoy is best

Stained teeth?? buy a dremel, I polish mine up with the little plastic brush first the the little polisher with some pearl drops and come up looking whiter the white.

my son in law is a dental lab technician .......... I have 3 gold crowns all on backish teeth ... on his advice I have gold rather than Porcelain .. as gold does NOT crack as porecalin could do, if *crunching* the wrong foods ....... There is barely any difference in the cost ... apparently

people wear silver if there either a student or cant afford gold

im getting a crown done on wednesday(SHIT, TOMORROW! ).... might say i want gold now, as im sure it was gonna be white but least if its gold...

A: it cant crack/break
B: wont look off colour to rest whereas gold will be a complete change so its a noticable change rather rthen a slight one that makes it more noticable fo looking off colour (if that makes sense)
