After visiting a relative in one of our infection ridden run down hospitals Ive decided to try and ensure I dont end up in a complete shithole should soemthing happen to me. I dont blame the people who work in the hospitals, I blame the arseholes who tie their hands and run them into the ground on a paltry budget.
Do any of you have any kind of cover with someone such as BUPA or whatever that puts you in a private part of the hospital or something? Im confused over what my options are!! |
Points and waggles finger
NHS hospitals treat private patients (PP).
PP's get treated by the same doctors, the same nurses and the same wards. They are not treated any differently but the waiting times for therapies / interventions is much less than the NHS's 18 weeks.
I had a conversation with a patient that decided to use his private cover (at the same time he got moved to a side room due other reasons) and he didn't seem to comprehend that it is up to me, the nurse in charge, whom gets side rooms as its a clinical need and just because he got moved to the other end, he then thought it was a private section
Many people have HSA and BUPA forms, its not as expensive as it used to be, ie not just for the rich and famous.
TBH, being a healthcare professional, when you peel back the facade of the private hospitals, you wouldn't want to be treated in one ____________________ Current : MSX 125 Past : CBR 900RR Monkeybike : c50 LAC : ZXR750 H2 : FZR600 : ZX7R P3 : YW100 : TRX850: Trophy 900 T309 : GSXR 600 L0: Monkeybike : XJ6S Whosthedaddy |

Our local hospital has a private section as far as I know, plus the cover says I can choose my hospital etc.
Like I said, not a stab at the staff just the facilities.
Plus theyve practically chartered a train from poland to take on new nurses at my local hospital as staff nurses yet there are trainees coming out of their time as staff nurses having to take jobs as health care as theres apparently 'no jobs'. ____________________ RS125 > CBR6 > SV650S > ZX636R > GSX1300RZ Hayabusa > 06 RSVR Mille > SV1000S > Street Triple 765 RS |
