Hiya folks,

I got paid today, and by the time next weeks pay comes in, Ill have enough to get myself some more protective clothing. As far ive got:

Dainese Imatra Jacket
Shoei Rep helmet
£30 leather gloves.

Im very happy with what I've got, bar the gloves, but Im looking to get the other items I need. Should I wait a little bit more until Ive got enough to get a set of leather trousers to zip into my jacket to make it a 2 peice, or should I use the money ive got now to buy some boots? Its the SIDI Vertebrae I've got in mind at the minute. The third option is to get some decent gloves as the ones ive got feel the right size, but quite cumbersombe, and I'd like to nice proper ones Laughing

So I put it to you all what should I do, what kit do you think is more important? Does anyone know where I can get the SIDI's on the cheap or anywhere that is selling them in a sale at the mo?

I'm wishing that Id got a 2 peice straight off now, as my jacket is a tad big, never mind!

Cheers for any advice.
Cougs

I'd get boots personally. You look silly in trainers or Doc Martins

Cheers Dodd,

I never wear trainers, I always try and wear the most heavy duty thing I've got, which is walking boots, and sometimes my work shoes Embarassed

Anyway, cheers for the advice!

I'd say boots aswell, + then trousers as soon as you can!
If you've already got gloves then wait until you've got the things you haven't first.

try

It would have to be boots.

You ankles will be under the bike if you slide with it...

I'd definately say the boots too, trousers were the last things I got. Consider the Sidi waterproof boots too, they go cheaper than the vertebra but are just as good, I've got them.

Hi

I would say boots as well. Ankles are very difficult for a doctor to repair.

All thebest

Thanks folks,

I'll go for some new boots. The Vertebra are the main contender at the mo, Phoe mentioned the rains, anyone else got any suggestions, and prices?

Cheers,
Cougs

Good choice going for the boots- If I hadn't been wearing mine on tuesday my ankle would have been fucked.

I got some Oxtar TCS boots for £65 and they're spot on:

I got them off a stall at an event called 'BikeWise 2002' in Durham- run by the local police. I only got them cos they seemed cheap, but I think that review is pretty old as well. I wouldn't buy them for that price, if I was gonna spend £150 I would get some sidi's. But for £65 you can't go wrong!
