almost 2 weeks ago l binned by fireblade in london and went to hospital to get sorted out.

So today l went for a review on my wrist and had the cast taken off as it turned out it was,nt broken after all (which l knew from the start as the sacoid bone is at the base of the thumb not on the wrist were there was pain Rolling Eyes )

but while in the waiting room l had flick though the notes and theres a page saying what caused the injury's and it states came off motorbike etc blab blab ...... now l remember telling the nurse were it happened but the silly philippine women has put location as tower bridge and that l was doing 60mph Confused which is bollocks as l was,nt there and its a 20mph with cameras and SPECS.

What l,m wondering is could this cause me problems and be used against me as my insurance company is trying to claim off the council for a defective road surface (which is unlikely to be won anyway) so they don,t have to pay out to me though my FC cover .

This happens all the time, and like lemmings, people copy this and it appears to become gospel.

Not sure how to change it as its already written Thinking

If an insurance company want details of the hospital visit then a summary letter would be what they want, not the drivel thats written in the notes.

The hospital needs to provide documentation of the injuries and what treatment was needed. Documenting the alleged site of the accident is rarely done in hospitals. It is the police who document the site of the accident.

You should have got a bit of paperwork from the recovery company which will tell you where they picked the bike up from. Contrary to many peoples opinion the Highway doesn't start at the Tower, that's East Smithfield so the recovery notice will put you a fair distance away down the road casting doubt on what the woman wrote.

Insurance companies will not use medical records for anything that concerns liability, they only use medical records for personal injury. Anything about liability and accident factors such as the location/speed etc will only be taken from the polict accident record and witness statements.

I wouldnt worry about what has been scrawled in your medical notes Thumbs Up

I suggest having a quiet word with the nurse saying that the notes aren't right, and asking if they can be corrected. I'm sure they'll sort it for you - just ask.

It would be very difficult and unlawful to change medical notes once they are documented. The very best they can do is add a currently dated note to your records. As others mentioned, documentation of the site of accident in your medical records is likely to be of no practical use in legal proceedings.

But SPECS ain't going to be much use, unless you had only just passed through the last one to prove the speed you were traveling at. If you failed to pass the last then it would be no use at all..
Or if you had passed the last say 50+ yards away then again it would be useless...

Can't see whats she has written would have any bearing anyway.

SPECS cameras don't measure speed, they record the time you pass one camera, then the time you pass the next and work your average speed from that.

One SPECS camera picture is no use in determining your speed.
