does anyone know what wavey discs are available for a cagiva planet 125?

can only seem to find a front but need a rear aswell.

Why do you want wavey discs? At the speeds people do on road bikes they are unnecessary, they are no better than standard discs on a road bike

Lower mass to heatsink, less pad contact, higher pad wear, greater cost.

Can't see how they'd dissipate heat better with a lower surface area..

If they were better than normal, round discs, they'd use them on moto GP bikes. They don't.

I thought it was more a surface area to volume ratio that was important? All the extra edges reduce volume and increase surface area so increase cooling properties?

I may well be totally wrong here, I'm trying to remember back in school when my physics teacher explained why peas cool faster than potatoes... Mr. Green

I was looking for new discs and the guy in shop said don't bother with wavey, he could have got extra money out of me, but recommended standard discs he added that wavey were just for posers

True, but there is also the converse. In order to decelerate at the same rate as a standard disc brake, you have to generate the same amount of heat energy but are whacking it into a smaller piece of metal. So they may cool down more quickly, but they will also get hotter, quicker under braking.

There is probably maths you could do but I can't be arsed. The fact remains that they don't use them on race bikes
