I really think we should have one, especially with recent events(like N30), this way we could also post about bikes that are found, like the guy a while back who found the CBR125 in woodland or something.

Sorry Mike, but posts like in other threads create negative Admin response and this is something we really could/should benefit from, so please no "not worth admin time" posts...PLEASE Praying

Come on Korn, MODs, if there was one addition we could would use, this is it.(no dis-respect to the RIP suggestion) at least give it a try? Thumbs Up

Before I go into what a crap idea I think it is, I'm not sure why you're asking 'MODS'? The internet is not a fluffy magic thing that you can wave a mod stick at and make nice things happen.

A stolen bike section would just segregate stolen bike threads from the by far most trafficked bike forum, General Bike Chat. For example, if we put N30's R1 thread in there, far less people would see it and know about it. You would likely end up with a one page thread with three replies if you're lucky.

Have you ever seen a forum with tons of sections? They look crap and it's far too easy to miss what you're looking for.

It's like when people ask for more specific regional sections - no need at all, just use what is there and make your threads more specific.

Where does it all end? A different section for every possible thread topic?

This was obviously a serious proposal which has been suggested before, I realize a MOD's position but thought maybe mod contact with admin might be beneficial, obviously not.

I'll just say never mind, it's not like there would be tonnes of sections for evey topic of conversation and Korn has other stuff but it could even be there under the general bike chat link, if there was one main place for all the related "stolen" activity there would be no need for threads here and there, no one quite sure where it fits but never mind.

T1z3r, I was hoping to get a little past that stage in all honesty.

BCF is a great site in it's own right, and one of the biggest threats to bikes is theft, I feel the lack of such an "area" in the forum leaves it with something of a hole to fill.... Guess if I can be arsed at some point I might try my own project(not a forum).. Confused

Thanks for looking chaps.

You can pray all you want mate, i don't say 'its not worth their time' it may very well be a decent suggestion but no one who could change the forum sections are going to listen, or even do the decent thing and give you a bit of feedback.

The suggestion of the review section is a very good one if i do say so myself.

K Thumbs Up

There are plenty of review sites all over the internet.

Like Maurice said, if you had a stolen/found section no-one would ever visit.

I certainly wouldn't. Thumbs Up

That's the point, i don't want to go 'all over the internet' looking for a non yank review on a bike Rolling Eyes .
There are a lot of people on here with some sounds views and i'd like to see some of the bikes write ups.

Last TLR review i read made it sound like it was designed around a WW2 tank and killed you when you pull the throttle. It's not really the case.

No offense meant Killa. Thumbs Up

Like I said, If I can find time I might just start something simple to test the water on 'sharing' this kind of info in the right circles.

I seem to remember how much moaning went on when Korn changed the forum from having just General Bike Chat & Off Topic etc.. to what it is now.

Yet the same people seem to want more forums now?

Good point although I haven't seen such a 'baseline' set out here.
