The cheapest I've seen is £500 for a second hand one. I agree that if you could pick one up for a few hundered I would get one in a flash.
I havn't really look at it in detail yet but try here :

Well ure a bit of a muppet then, i went mini-motoing 4 the first time on friday, i was wearing leather jacket, and jeans, and i still managed to hurt my-self, some-one hit me (craig) on the inside and i wacked my elbow on the floor, man that hurt, its come up in a big bruise with swelling, iwasnt going that fast either, my leathers/jeans/shoes are well scuffed up so if u dont wear protective gear your asking for it mate

Unfortunatley they seem keep their value really well.
Expect to be paying from £500 for a half decent one, you'll be very luck if you can get a 4+hp one for under £400.

A load of us have considered clubbing together to buy one... we'd only have to pay £20 to use the Swindon minimoto track for the whole night for each minimoto we had... So we could start with one and maybe get another if loads of people were interested.

Generally you want to avoid the blata 2.5hp minimotos... even the one's they hire are 4.3hp.
There's a for sale section on the forum, of www.minimoto.com

Err... you can borrow my zx if you want to learn to wheelie*.. I can see a minimoto being really hard to wheelie properly (keep up) because the balance point will probably be tiny.

* Providing you leave a large deposit for any more damage Very Happy and fix the screen/headlights first Razz

Hmmm, considering anymore damage is more than likely if you let me try and wheelie a ZX I might have to pass that offer today G!

The screen/ lights I reckon can be fixed with araldite, wire and perserverance (sp!)

www.minimoto.co.uk <-- he blainently fell straight off the back milli seconds later Laughing

i saw one guy doin wheelies when i went, he was hanging his legs off the pegs, almost looked like he was kneeling on the floor, and he was able to sustain them for a while, before it ran out of power, so yeah Very Happy

mini moto's are 40cc( with some being converted to 50cc for the super class) and can do speeds from 35mph to in excess of 75!depending on the state of tune.
if any one wants to try racing there is a indoor series starting this sun @ swindon-you can rent a bike for the day and should cost around £50 inc entry fee's. if any one wants more info contact minimoto racing on 01793-815114
hope to see some of you guys there!
