I Like. Thumbs Up Pity it's a 4 stroke. I've yet to see a Mito 350 that looks that clean.

Lot of rust on the engine, looks like it has had a very hard life.

I've yet to see a Mito project that anyone's actually finished, which is why this Foggy one is great! Laughing

Now that would be fun.

There is an rgv 250 on ebay at the moment with a tuned cr500 engine in it. I think that would be an evil bike to ride Laughing

That was on autotrader about 4 months ago.
I would prefer it with the 125 engine in it.
2 strokes IMO are far better Very Happy

*bangs head on desk*

A fucking XT600 engine. Possibly the single worst choice of evAr. I practically fell asleep with the experience of test riding an XT600. Even an over excitable Jeremy Clarkson wouldn't be able to find an interesting way to describe it's tepid blandness.

Why not a Husaberg motor? A Husqvarna motor? A KTM motor? anything other than that!

XT600 fits easily I hear. It's a fairly common supermono racer conversion.

Most 400's make 50 - 60 and can do that.

That bike is light as hell I bet it would do that.

Depends on the gearing, it could be geared for much higher easily, but it would be slower than a snail with a nail through it off the line.

Also, now I think about it, why put a 45BHP engine in there? The Mito lump makes 35 bhp, derestricted and I bet it's a better engine on the track, as long as the rider is used to strokers.

Waste of time, IMO.

Cheers

Grim

That's great... Spend ages doing a Mito project and then shove the first engine you find from a scrapyard in it...

Engine should also be a lot more reliable than a competition engine, making it a realistic 'daily' bike.

McGee; weight doesn't seem to make a massive difference for top speed, at least not compared to power and aerodynamics.

We're talking more CBR250 kinda power and thus I'd expect speed.

Nice... Cool

(Although the jump from the stock 33bhp to the 45 bhp engine just doesn't seem worthy enough for a project like that, however everyone has their own opinion I guess... Thumbs Up )

I think I've seen this in the shop, can't recall the name of it, but it is on an industrial site, opposite 3 cross motorcycles in Verwood. Looks nicer in the pictures than in the flesh.

Not sure It is something I would want though..
