In Acrobat Reader 7, there is a Snapshot Tool on the toolbar (icon looks like a camera) - it lets you copy images (or whatever you have selected on the pdf) to the clipboard. You can then Ctrl+V it into whatever graphics package you like, i.e. Paint like itchy said.
