i have about 380 pics i want to put onto a disk so it backs up the pictures but also i want to be able to put it into a dvd player and it runs as a slide show.

i have tried this using nero burning software, and both dvds and cd-rs. the cd-r plays them on a dvd player but not as a slide show and quality is poor. the dvd wont play at all.

anyone no how i could do this?

I backed up my music and photos onto a dvdr using it as a standard data disc and it works on my dvd player at home.

Have you tried using the dvd on someone elses player to see if it works?

Nero's slide show facility converts your images into a move file, hence the drop in image quality.

Put them on CD/DVD and if your using XP, view the contents as a film strip and then on the left hand corner you will see the option 'View as sideshow'

If you have XP Media centre you get a very good sideshow/media manager as standard.
