This is my first bike and I'm having some good fun on it. Seems to pull heads quite well, often I have people coming up to me amazed that its a 125cc bike Very Happy Apart from the engine it does look like a bigger bike and the 17l fuel tank seems to never run out Very Happy. Might need to get some new rubber for it though as it doesn't feel to nice in wet.

Thanks Very Happy The top speed I have had out of it is just over 80mph going down a steepish hill, but usually cruises at about 65mph.

Hey thats my bike! you stole it,bring it back...now Laughing

I've had just about 80 out of mine downhill but I was a bit concerned about the rev counter being well into the redline,it sounded like the engine was about to go into orbit...perhaps thats why they call them Comets Shocked

Seriously though I reckon its a brilliant bike and like you said I've had many people ask me if it really is just a 125,I took it to a bike meet near me back in the summer and loads of people were swarming around it asking me loads of questions about it...who needs a Harley to get lots of attention?! Very Happy

hehehe i know what you mean about well in the red I think i was near 15000rpm when I got to 80 and the engine did sound quite worrying lol.

Shame it doesn't make loads of women run over to it as well Sad lol

125 V-Twin? Sweet Thumbs Up

What does it sound like? Do you have to work the engine or does it have plenty of torque? I always assumed all 125s had single cylinder engines.

Yeah, lovely bike, although I always thought the 250 version (exact same bike bar the engine cc) is more sensible, only £300 more and is tapping on the 33bhp restriction.

I have to say, I think they're the nicest looking 125's Smile Very Happy WELLL, NOT INCLUDING THE MITO Wink

They do sound nice when your sitting on it, but I don't think its load/grunty enough for people at a fair distance away. I can't really say much about torque seeing as this is the first bike I have ever owned/ridden, but goes good enough for me Very Happy There are a few 125's with V-twins I have seen a few 125 cruisers with em.

Thanks guys

Kev.

Theres a Roadwin 125 which is exactly the same frame and engine but diffrent wheels and costs about a grand more.

Tried to find the Hyosung dealer in Ealing and looks like they have moved or closed down Sad

I've seen a pic of the Roadwin in Whatbike? mag,the frame is very similar but not identical, also the engine is a single and not a V twin.
According to Whatbike the price is £2,399 which is actually a bit cheaper than the Comet but I know which bike I prefer Wink

Here ya go,I've found a pic of it...

LOL

Any old excuse...

Whatbike did actually give it a fairly good review although they say they haven't ridden it yet, they did however give the Comet a great review and the last few words of that review sums it all up in my opinion...and I quote..."Why aren't more 125s this good"

Agreed. Thumbs Up

But then I would agree to that wouldn't I
Very Happy

It was really on that review and the road test that they did on the 250cc version that made me decide to get a comet and i'm glad i did Very Happy

Roadwin: The realization of the ultimate speed.

Any company that says that with a 4t 125 bike, can't be for real...

V-twin better, Comet looks better etc.
