Mate just picked up his new 57 plate 'Busa a few hours ago. called round the house to show it off and dropped it. 3 hours old with 60 miles on the clocks, knackered brake lever, foot rest, mirror, skuffed fairing and exhaust. Oh bugger were his chosen words. Still a nice bike though.

60 miles? , bah

Keith's cruiser mate down south he bought a VN2000 or something it was one helluva big cruiser

as is tradition down saaf we escort every new bike out the show room for a escort ride into Plym, we'd all run to Bridge in Exeter that morning.

He wasn't used to the heel toe gear change mechanism, and dropped it about 3ft outside Bridge Exeter nearby the burger van. Had less than a mile on it, and he wouldn't take his helmet off , (most of us had gone round the corner and wondered where he was) took 4 people to lift it.

He went on a different route not wanting the escort , but we found him on the '38 about 20 minutes later, at which he changed lanes with me going at the limit Wink and nearly going into the back of him , pulling an enourmous high speed motorway stoppie.

My mate did that with a brand-new repsol gixxer thou. Picked it up in the morning an was ordering spares by lunchtime.

What did he pay for the '57 incidentally? He should have got a good reduction with the much-better '08 model now out.
