Hello one and all,

I need to help. I recently had to take the speedo cable off the bike as part of some maintenance. I put it back on and now the speedo is giving all sorts of speeds. It seems ok when I accelerate, however when I ease off, it drops to Zero.

I had a look in the Haynes manual and reftted by it by the word, but still same thing.

Obviously it`s something i`v done, but i`v narrowed it down to the Cable, or the bit the cable plugs into at the front wheel.

Have I missed something silly, or can anyone give me some pointers?

The bikes a Bandit 6 by the way.

Many thanks

Richard

Not too worry, I took the whole speedo set-up to peices and cleaned + WD40`d the cable, re-attached properly and it`s working a treat. Thanks anyway!
