The dep system is not that loud.
Its about the same as a fully de-restricted standard exhaust, and tbh gives no power gain either.

If i had another dtr i would just de-restrict the standard exhaust and leave it at that...

There is a big difference in power between the standard restricted exhaust and having it de-restricted Thumbs Up

If you need any advice on de-restricting give me a shout Thumbs Up Karma

EDIT:
I found a 2002 dtr with full dep exhaust in the www.adtrader.co.uk for £750 quid...worth a look for that price me thinks Thumbs Up

With DTs it's all about correctly adjusting the powervalve to get peak power. With a correctly setup powervalve a DEP pipe will offer far better flow than the standard expansion chamber.

Also looks the bollocks Thumbs Up

I was referring to the above posts but anyway!

My full DEP was quite loud but I've heard de-restricted DTs with the standard exhaust and they are quite loud aswell.

Quietest > Loudest

Standard restricted > standard derestricted > DEP/Big One/other aftermarket exhausts!

That's how I'd rate them so if you aren't to bothered about power just keep the standard exhaust, although I don't know why you wouldn't want it sounding like a proper 2 stroke should Razz BRAAAAP!!

lool

i don't know, i just see them nicer when its not as loud lol and also the neighbours always complains about noises in the morning...when i warm my bike up. :/

about a week coppers turned up saying they have recieved a couple of complaints. i left the engine running for about 15 min for it to warm up.

oh yeah, where else can i get cheap graphics for my dt125r ?

would you say this is cheap?

Ok i spose i should have said when i bought a full dep exhaust system for my bike i didnt notice and power difference,or at least not a noticeable one to make it worth the £200 ish quid it cost me.

Mine sounded beefier with the standard but fully de-restricted one on....

Karma Very Happy
