Hey guys, well my parents are getting divorced and im moving with my dad, we don't have any next gen consoles and im more into PC games.

Basically i want to be able to play online with my dad, he likes laptops but i cant really find a good laptop for gaming that will last more than a year. I'm wondering if anyone could help with finding a computer for gaming that has a slim tower to use up the least possible amount of room if at all possible.

Thanks guys,
Jacks

They look like the perfect thing! Where can you get these?

Is it just a basic system then? I guess you buy windows seperately aswell?

Thanks,
Jack

My laptop is pretty good, albeit the model is a year old. Had it for about 3 months now. Use it primarily for music editing (guitar recorder with line6 guitar port), photo ed, video ed and gaming.

I got it for 780 quid or thereabouts in singapore.

Asus A8Js

Intel Centrino duo 7200(2ghz)
2gb ram
120gb hdd (5400rpm)
DL DVD +/- RW
14.1" screen at 1440x900pixels
Geforce Go7700 with 512mb dedicated ram
All i could really ask for

Plays most of the latest games without a hitch - test drive unlimited, motogp 07. It's really neat. But for that price, you can get a decent enough PC that will shit on mine in terms of graphics processing power.

The only reason i wanted mine was i wanted a portable workstation that was more or less the same spec as my old desktop which was a P4 Prescott 3Ghz, 1GB corsair DDR400 ram, Geforce 6800XT... It was a 3 year old system by that point, but i wanted something that could match it. I guess i haven't been graced with the opportunity of benchmarking a new PC, but i bet it'll be shit hot.

Anyway

ASUS A8JS LAPTOP REVIEW HERE

Looks smart and professional too - a bit of a sleeper so to say

The dell and Asus both sound good, although the only thing i find with laptops is you cant upgrade them like a desktop.

The dell looks quite nice actually, i never thought of looking on business. I shall keep looking but keep both the Dell and biostar in mind Smile

Get onto dabs.com

Asus P5K motherboard (SATAII / DDR2)
Intel Core 2 Duo E6750
nVidia 8800GT
2 x 1 GB PC2-6400 RAM (Kingston, Corsair, GeIL, OCZ)
Samsung Spinpoint Hard Drive
Corsair HX520 PSU (Modular)
CPU Cooler if you want to overclock (Arctic Cooling / Zalman 9700)
Your choice of SATA CD/DVDRW
Your choice of case

That machine will be the bollocks, you'd have enough for a nice 20" Monitor as well Smile
