Hi Guys, I have an 03 Honda 600Fi, i did not ride it for about three months but now i have got it out again when it is ideling the oil light (the little green light in the rev counter??) flickers ever so slighty, it does not come all the way on just a very small flicker, once the bike is over about 3000rpm it stops. It was fine before i stopped riding there has been no leaks but the battery did run out whilst it was not riden. Everything else seems to be fine. Any help would be great guys, Cheers.

Sorry to hear about Zimma too, i joined this when it was NSR125.com when we all had NSR's, about 7 years ago. Another sad reminder to the down side of biking!! Sad

Hi

Oil light is normally red rather than green.

While there is a fair chance the issue is the sensor of wires to the sensor it is not worth risking. Oil pressure lights will generally turn off with very little pressure at all (far less than is required to save the engine, just that most of the time the failure that causes low oil pressure will be major enough to loose you all pressure). As such I would say get a proper check done (basically an external mechanical oil pressure sensor screwed in), and don't ride it until this is done.

All the best

Keith

I thought green was pretty standard for neutral?
Red = Oil,
Blue= High Beam

I had a quick look for a photo and I know what you mean, I just can't get a good view of one. Petrol maybe?

Anyway enough guessing, someone far more useful than me will be along, or you could ask a dealer? You need a owners manual.

I'm not sure if this is any way relevent, but my mates deauville has high cooleant temp warning light rather than a temp gauge.

Pretty sure its red though.

The thermometer thing is always a water temperature warning light.

If you're sure the bike's not overheating, it sounds like a faulty sensor.
