Ok I posted not long ago that my fork had blown a seal just four weeks after having it done. The bike has been in the garage and the forks stripped to check for the fault. It turns out that the problem is a very very minor scratch on the tube ( can only be felt with your nail )

Now I was given three options -

Arrow New fork tube = £145 + VAT

Arrow Re-chrome the tube and have a 3 week wait = £75 + VAT

or.....

Arrow Wet and dry the scratch out

Now the third option I didn't think would be possible, am I right?

What have you got to lose ?

Try it and see, it's going to cost one way or another anyway.

You may get away with it if you use use very fine wet and dry then polish the fook out of it.

TBH you don't have much to lose by trying if you fail it's getting re-chromed/ new slider anyway.

Well to be honest I did take the 3rd option but I'm really not confident in it working, but I suppose we'll see. Cost me £30 less than originally planned and it seemed a sensible thing to try the cheapest option first really.

Just unsure as I've always been told that once a tube is scratched/pitted your fooked. Oh well, will just have to wait and see I suppose.

Just work to the finest wet and dry you can find then start with the Autosol. Thumbs Up
