Air filter doesn't take /that/ long, but a rear shock takes an absolute age. I'm guessing a new ignition barrel would take a fair bit of time too.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Hmmmm tbh I could do the air filter and ignition barrel in an hour easy. Neither are difficult jobs and the majority of the time is taking the panels/fuel tank on and off.

As has already been said the rear shock is much more of a bitch... A good few hours would be expected. Took me around 2 hours to replace the shock link... But never done a full shock swap.

Depends if the ignition barrel or the loom had been buchered though.

Rear shock is very fiddly though, and with a pro arm swing arm it might mean removing the whole swing arm, or at least jacking the bike up so the swingarm droops enough to maneuvre the shock into place.
