Talking to mattspratt on msn , he thinks that if a bike has a cowl over were the rear seat should be that there will be nothing underneath?
But I always thought that the cowl went over the seat and that the seat stay's on the bike , under the cowl?
Who is right ?

Both.

FZR600s have their pillion seat under a cowl/cover.

SRADs the pillion seat is removed and replaced by a cowl/cover.
I think generally the seat is removed though, rather than covered. Unless it's a one piece seat, when they're usually covered (badly).

What he said, my seat cowl covers my rear seat,

It depends on weather your seat and the pillion seat are the same unit or separate.

GF's Dad's SV650 Sport;

Pillion seat clips off, (and grab rail comes off) and the cowl clicks into its place.

Depends on the bike, if you hadn't already figured that out.
