Hey,

After smashing my Oxford Disc lock off my own bike within a matter of seconds i'm after a new high quality disc lock. Something that can't be smashed off so easily, possibly thatcham approved?

Any recommendations?

Shaun.

I use an Oxford Omega (thatcham approved) and it seems fine. But you probably don't want another Oxford one...

I've got a Xena alarm disc lock and its pretty damn tough. Not only that, if you so much as touch it, it goes off. And its bloody loud.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Had one of these for a very short while, looks and feels very good quality, and the alarm on it is excellent.

It doesn't fit on the CBRs weird discs though Sad

Disc locks are the work of the Devil. Buggered 3 brake discs because of the buggers.

How exactly???

Maybe it is the users memory fault rather than the disc locks fault. Very Happy

I can vouch for the motrax vishas. Heavy duty, thatcham approved and its less likely to get shattered or cracked open like the oxford ones. mine came apart with a swift hammer blow to the bit where the U was (reason i did this was i lost the keys and seeing that i didn't have a bike at that point, i just shattered it). Xena could be worth a look too.
