I used to be a ardent political activist (changed from supporter) print leaflets at my own cost etc to inform people of things , it didn't work so I changed strategy to the escape route strategy which I win both ways , if the country goes tits up I'm gone, if it doesn't I've still carved a niche existance here.

The situation here is more akin to "fools paradise"

Damn straight. People here want to sit on their arses doing nothing, waiting for somebody else to do all the work, take all the risks and hand them their dignity back on a gold platter. And call them a muppet for trying to do it.

My switch has been welded in the OFF position. I've had my niche well sorted and running sweet for over a decade now, and if it goes tits up I'll be on a plane with my family tout de bloody suite.

The british people can rot in the sewage they apparently value so highly.

People have no intested in politics at all. They believe (and understandably so) that politics is a very complex matter that is best left to those that know how it works.

Unfortunately, the people that know how politics works are the very same people that will use that knowledge to their advantage.

The average man doesn't give two shites about what the men at the top are doing until it starts to affect him on a personal level.

Case in point: Britain has signed the EU treaty today, and hardly anyone in Britain knows what it is or what exactly it does, let alone gives two shits that we haven't been given the referendum that we were promised (Fuck you Brown and your shitty excuses about it not being a constitution).

Fuck this government, fuck this country, fuck the ignorant populace, and I'll be laughing when the scroungers and scumpiles in this country are begging for help when the shit hits the fan because they spent their time watching Eastenders rather than taking an interest.
