Well thanks to a strategically parked NSR at the front of the shop Miss L kicked the 1 year old CG125 into touch.

Here is what she is getting, A bloody 9 year old Stinkwheel (secretly I am happy, she may be able to keep up with the flow of traffic a bit better)!

Of course I am sure you have all seen a hundred of these bikes before but what do you think? Has Miss L made the right choice? What is the bike like in your opinion?

I ask because I am not used to this kind of machine (I passed my test on a Superdream CB125 TDC many years ago, when the original NS125 came out actually).

You lads and lasses are the experst so we need to know what you all think...

Hell Mr D. I don't know! You're the expert!

They seemed pretty standard to look at, fit into the tank etc.

Has she been sold a lemon then? Sad

As I've said, I've got the same model (I've also got a ZX6R and a dead KLR650 btw)

It doesn't have the topspeed of it's faired bother (most I've got is 85ish... and thats with a down hill Confused )
Mine's is definatley faster than a restricted 125 though and a fair bit better than a 4st 125. It's pretty good for filtering as well... the mirrors are the widest bit.. and mine doesn't have any mirrors at the mo anyway Smile.
The forks seem a bit soft for my weight and the brakes a bit variable.. but should have plenty of stopping power.
Ground clearance is a bit limited by long hero blobs and the exapansion chamber... but only if you're really pushing it.
I think my (now 11 year old) bike still has it's original tyres, which are pretty shit now... may have been better originally though.

OH yeah dodd... those air ducts are standard.

Yes as i found out when going over speed bums and coming of kerbs a few times,
and you do know when you do it.

The air ducts are standard, but i didnt really like them, so they got took off.
i prefered the bike with out them,

other than that for an old bike i think it runs and rides really well!

I dont know I think mine is 93? Confused I was a bit worried at first about trading in a 1 year old bike with less than 4000 miles for a 10 year old bike with a hell of alot more miles. But I like the style and thats all that matters. I am used to sitting and leaning forward when Im a pillion and I used to get told off when doing my CBT for sitting too far back. I like the sporty feel to the NSR much better. It feels alot more me than the CG did. Cool

I cant stop looking at the photo's I cant believe that is mine. I still wont believe it when it's in my garage. I am really proud to have a bike like that for my first ever bike. I always said I wanted a bike that actually looked like a bike and none of this scooter stuff. Wink

Im very happy.

Nice one Missy!! Very Happy Very Happy

I know how it feels, when I first got my beauty I kept sneaking off into the garage to go and have a look at it and gloat! Definately the right choice, and it is more comfortable to ride after being a pillion. YAY!! Hurrah for you!! Very Happy Very Happy

just like me u have to take a picture which is on your computer. it has to be small. go on profile and were it says about avatars theres a browse button click that and a list of pictures off your computer gets displayed .you have to ensure your picture is within the height and width boundries if not you just keep making it smaller. to make it easier save your picture to the desktop it just makes it easier to access . i hope i havent confused you i tried my best. if u have any other problems im sure one of these kind folks who r much better on computers than u and i will assist ,if i cant
good luck. welcome to the site aswell i said it to mr lucky i never noticed there was a miss lucky aswell. take care

I coudlnt get mine to resize properly without it getting all fucked as i never have the software needed.

Thanks tanner you explained it well but it doesnt stop me from being confused. I am off to try. I have tried all sorts copy and pasting to the avatar bit in the profile everything. I will do as you say and click browse. But I dont have a clue how to make the photo smaller. Confused I'll give it my best shot anyway.
