Wow thank you Demonic69. It took me a while but I understood you in the end. Thanks everyone for the help. I feel all of a sudden friendly towards the computer again. I was just about ready to go off and get a hammer to smash the screen with. Laughing

Yes as i found out when going over speed bums and coming of kerbs a few times,
and you do know when you do it.

Muhhhahahaa, that reminds me getting it stuck coming outta The Oracle (In reading) car park. I could be fucked to get a ticket, so i was either gonna follow my mates car, or go over the kerb. I got the bike stuck on the kerb which was kinda funny Laughing

And thats a nice bike, nicer than a CG125 Very Happy

Hey I wish I was good enough to know what I was talking about. That is the first avatar I have ever put up and I didnt even do that one myself. Rolling Eyes Now I want to find out how to take that and put it as my avatar on one of the other bike boards. I think I could be here for sometime. Laughing

I scratched the underside of my fairing trying to get out of a carpark. I got in through the automatic barrier ok but it wouldn't let me out Sad
Went up the kerb and the drop was bigger than I thought.
SSSCCCRRRAAAPPPEEE, no damage as far as I can see. I then did 2 illegal U-turns on some major roads and used a public footpath as my right of way Very Happy

I was kinda exploring the limits of my ground clearance *without* leathers (did have textile trouseres, but that didn't stop me testing out the ground clearance on the way home from the supermarket, with just jeans on.... ouch Twisted Evil )

I have been pillion with Lucky when he has had a few knee downs. I only feel comfortable with the right knee as I look over his left shoulder and if he gets his left knee down i feel like im falling off. I dont like the sound of the knee sliders either its scary and the bottom of the foot pegs spark which looks even worse. Very Happy

The only person I have even been pillion with aside from my CBT instructor is Lucky. I wouldnt feel comfortable with anyone else on any other bike. The hayabusa is perfect for pillions it is comfy it has a big pillion seat so you feel safe and it isnt that much higher than Lucky's seat. I look at some of these R1's and think how the hell do people get on the back of them? I think the NSR has a nice big pillion seat though again I would only sit on it if Lucky was sat on the front. I am used to his riding style and it would feel strange with anyone else. Im just a big softy. Wink

Ok here's a question does the NSR wheelie really easily? I dont mean as in if I try and make it wheelie I mean will the front end lift up easily when I dont want it too? Confused

Nope, the NSR aint the easiest thing to wheelie as it's not got LOADS of power. It can be done though

I don't think luke was actually trying that hard to get his knee down... I reckon the zx would be quite good cos it's got grab rails at the side (and I'm not going to be too bothered if I stack it Smile )

Thank god for that. I have been told that with my weight on the NSR it will pull away much nicer than the CG would. But I dont want it to be too scary. I think Lucky was on about de-restricting it before I even got it so that I can learn how to handle it being a tiny bit faster straight away. I dont need it to go faster but if it is needed then it's there, like for overtaking, and if i ever have to go the fast way to work I can keep up better than what I would be able to on the CG. When I did my CBT we were on the dual carriage ways and I felt so vunerable like the throttle was twisted right the way round but I wasnt getting anywhere all it seemed to be doing was blowing about the road. Very Happy

It will pull away well, beating most cars off the lights. De-restricting will add more middle power and about 10-15mph extra. I think you should manage 90-95 on yours de-res'd.
I hated not having the power when I was learning, I rode my NSR to and from work everyday and used an SR or CG on the lessons. I'd get used to revving the balls off the NSR and pulling away quick, then I'd nearly kill the SR Very Happy
