Just wondering, im 17 and really annoyed that i cant find a girl that likes me in the way i like them. I get attached a little too easily, anyway. I was just wondering, how many couples do you older guys know (20s+) that have stuck it through since they started going out at 16/17ish?

Just wondering, i mean my cousin is 24 and she has been with her, now husband since she was around 20. Im just curious on what age people actually stick together through thick and worse.

One of my dad's friends and his wife have been together since
they were about 15 and they are about 45-50 now.

It really is a bitch working in a pub, im 17 and you should see some of the 18 year olds that come in with these pricks of what are sadly men. 20+ year olds sipping on Stella and touching them up...pisses me off!

Well i got with my ex when i was 17 and she was 16. We unfortunately split up earlier this year after 3 1/2 almost 4 years. Its one of those things that can definately work, but i think the whole culture surrounding teenagers and younger adults is realy sickening. It is this culture that quite possibly caused us to split, and causes many to not last.

The whole thing of having a steady partner while your best mate is out having a different partner each week, ranting and raving about how great it is, seems to cause problems.

If you want my advice, i wouldnt bother getting into anything serious at that age. I did, and now look where i am. Its a waste of time as one of you will almost inevitably fall into the trap mentioned above.

Thing is, there is someone out there for everyone, and im a strong believer in what's meant to be will be, one way or the other.

I have been with my girlfriend for a year and when i met her she was 17 and i was 19. It started off as a long distance relationship as i was at uni in Aberdeen and she lived in Ayr, about 200 miles away. However we would regularly get the bus to see each other almost every other weekend. She spent the summer at my house (10 weeks) we both had jobs and it was great fun. Now she is at the same uni as me and stays round mine almost every night.

We went on holiday to turkey and have now booked christmas away to florida and things couldn't be better.

Some of you may know about the girl that lives in my mates street but her mum hates my mate and his family and wont let us see each other because of that, her excuse, im too old for her (2 years and a month between us) but i didnt look for her, she just appeared one day, its been almost 2 months since we seen each other and i still miss her Sad

Get out, have fun - dont ask for their name or number and you cant get attached. Eventually, you'll get bored of it and find someone you want to stay with for a long time, who understands and cares for you.

Just dont do it too much, else you get a reputation, girls immediately know who you are and what youve done and take alot of persuading and coaxing.

Thats why I had to find a girlfriend, at a college 25 miles away and she lives about 20 miles away. Even then she'd bloody heard stuff through college.

But were great, nearly a year now - may not sound like much to most people but it was impossible for me to go a couple of months without cheating before. Been on holiday a couple of times, and were about to move in together Thumbs Up
