Just bid on a new/used bike.

A few will know that I work in the car industry!! So I get cars offered to me on a daily basis from an autotrade-mail system, Well I also signed up to get motorbikes and classic cars emailed to me…you know just in case that bargain comes up that you cant turn down…

Well yesterday I got 04/54 R1 emailed to me for a bid, it was in the colours I’ve always wanted the black and silver, it’s a one owner with 6k on the clock… supposedly in mint conditions with full Yamaha history.

So I emailed them back and said I would be interested in the bike for myself and bid him 4k. never heard anything yesterday and imagined him laughing at my cheek… well I got an email this morning saying the guy is coming in on Saturday and hopefully he can do a deal. If so he will let me know when it lands with him.

Just some facts you need to know the bike owner is trying to buy a car from the dealer (possibly women kid related exchange ).
The help question.
Is their anyone in here that will know the true value of an 04/54 R1 with under seat exhaust?
And also the value of my R1 it’s a 03/03 in red/white and black with 8k miles.

I might be getting all excited for nothing, but I know I’m going to have a good couple of days thinking and hoping it comes off, but if not still got current bike to keep me smiling…

Is roughly what you sould be paying. If you can get it for 4k or less, looks like you're getting a very good deal.
