I had my bike out yesterday, first time in a months, nervous as ever, came to work on it, its a 2 minuets Confused ride, seems pointless getting it out for that, tyres dont get warm and too many white lines about.

Also bored, at work on till 10 2 night...

Why is winter riding so scary? Confused

So many reasons.

Many car drivers appear to suffer from night blindness.
Headlights are rubbish on bikes and you can't see where your going.
Car headlights dazzle, can't see where your going.
Have to ride with visor down, can't see where your going.
Road surface is rubbish, (anyone notice a sort of waxy coating over the last few days?)
Its cold and uncomfortable.
Risk of ice early in the morning.

Women wear too many clothes so there's nothing to look at as your riding along Wink

Out of pure boredom I counted the bikes on the way into to work on Friday, about twenty miles each way. 7 peds, 1 cruiser (on L plates), and one srad (full one piece matching leathers, must have been freezing). Respect the ped!

I used to work in a petrol station in Altrincham, 3-11pm and then have an hour to travel home last November/December, a long day and a boring ride home in freezing cold, wet weather on M6, it was not much fun.
Luckily if I work a Saturday now it is only until 6pm at the latest and only 25 mins from home on A roads.

I ride my bike 2 miles to work most days. May not be far at all, but it gives me a good start to the morning having that small 'hoon' to work.
I cant see for shyte at night - Lights rubbish, Cars with headlights positioned wrong so it blinds me.
I hate having my visor shut in the dark so I get blasted with road crap in my eyes.
But I still enjoy it.
