Adobe Photshop Colour palette problems

Ok, Well ive got a problem with my photoshop.

The paint colour palette on the left hand side has gone. I can get it back, but only on a drop down menu thing on the top right.

BUT even when i do have it, All my colour selection seems to be stuck in Grey scale. I cant get colour anymore.


Any ideas how to change it back?

You can drag and drop it to where you need it to be or click on workspace and then select default workspace.

As for the swatches once you have dragged it to where you want it click on the little horizontal lines on the top right hand side and a drop down menu will appear with reset Swatches. Job done.

I never use the swatches anyway. I just double click the colour on the tool panel on left, and then select a colour for it from the colour picker panel
