..... look what I picked up for less than the cost of a few beers in the pub!

It was advertised as a bike breaking, went to look at it and it was plastered in trick bits. Got the shock, a set of new tyres, carbon front mudguard and a set of gsxr100 k1 calipers very cheaply. I am a happy bunny!

K1 calipers cost a fortune, got some for the ZZR recently.

Sounds like a nice haul. Project bike or just sorting a scruffy K1?

So, how much did you pay then...? You could mean a few £50 pints... or a few £2.50 pints

the GSXR1000 calipers go onto a ZXR750, but dont know if they go onto a 400 as easily? Go on, how much?
Im guessing £200 would be a bargain at this time of year!

all you need to do is drill and tap them to the correct size, the hole centers are allready 65mm apart. Got the whole lot for £160 Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

(the few pints relates to the shock, he only wanted £35 for it)

That is a bargain. I paid more than that for the calipers alone.

I wouldn't drill and tap them, just get a set of 8mm sleeved spacers made up. Shouldn't be too hard to measure up with a micrometer, that way you can center them precisely rather than have them likely sitting a few mil out on the disc.
