I have these guys as my legal company, I paid £22 through express insurance to hve this legal cover.

I would like to give them 10 thumbs up for excellent service Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

I had an of a while back (not my fault). https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=125845&highlight=roundabout

It was on a Thursday night, saturday morning I had a hire bike (I have TPFT) I get updates every friday from the same guy, he listens to me bitch every week about how it is taking so long and I want my bike back and has been working for me to get the claim sorted. Other guys says it was my fault somehow I hit the side of his car with the front of my bike whilst overtaking him on the inside of a roundabout while he was in the inside lane. Confused I also admitted liability on the scene Middle Finger Middle Finger

Anyway I have always had a hire bike, I broke the bandit and got a cbf a day or 2 later. I have just had news that if the other guy doesn't give his insurance company more convincing details by sunday I get paid out.

I get my bike back next week if all goes to plan. Laughing

I would recomend BLD to everyone and anyone. Thumbs Up

I'd like to give them a thumbs up too.

I had a non-fault accident 18 months ago & was only insured TPO. I was able to get home under my own steam, and they arranged for the bike to be collected a day later to be looked at by an assessor. They hassled the other side's insurer for me, and although it took five months, I got a fair payout for the write-off value for the bike, plus a decent amount for kit damage. Given that they were trying to drag the money out of the third party's insurer, five months probably isn't too bad. It took a year when someone SMIDSY'd me in the car to get a payout.

I didn't get a hire bike, as I have a spare bike and a car too, although they initially offered one until they found out I had alternatives available. They were pretty good at providing updates and pleasant when I phoned up feeling peevish.

However, I didn't pay a penny for legal cover on my insurance - they did it all on a no-win-no-fee basis where the total claim value was only £3Kish, with no injuries. My claim was pretty solid though.

going to give it two weeks otherwise l,m going to pay him a visit...... Twisted Evil

Really should be time scales on stuff like this where if they are not returned, unless you are stuck in hospital or such, that the ins co just has to divvy up the dosh.
This might make them work a bit harder to chase muppets up that cannot be arsed to do owt when it does not affect them.
Perhaps the ins co's could then write a clause in saying you no return forms we debit your account for the damage.....

I had mixed service with them, seemed with my claim they switched people handling my case about 4 times, and it was only the last person who actually bothered ringing me up for regular updates. Prior to that i didnt hear anything for weeks from the other people. So crap service at start for me but finally got a lot better.

I do wonder if any people who get hire bikes look at the agreement and realise just how much they are being charged.

This becomes extremely relevant if you lose the claim and have to pay the hire.
