Ok random throught for the day.

Can you argue that god exists while maintaining that santa does not, there is no proof for either while adults have faith in god, children have faith in santa.

If you still believe in santa and dont want to argue that he doesnt exist simply replace him with the easter bunny Laughing

I know that, you know that, yet some religious nut on the radio was just talking about how we have lost the true meaning of christmas because of Cokes Santa image and how he wants to bring back Saint Nic all dressed in green.

So my my argument is how can someone who believes in god suggest that a childs belief in Santa is wrong or inaccurate.

There is more proof a guy called Jesus existed then henry the 8th (or so my re teacher told me.)

There is no proof a fat man gives presents out and lives in the north pole.

What's that got to do with anything? I know a guy called Jesus; he lives in Boisset in the south of France and drives a knackered old lorry.

P.S - I believe in god, I just don't follow any specific religion.

Jesus was the son of god so is god or some crap like that so thats why people have the faith that they have because theres proof. Maybe not saying absolute proof he did the things he did but theres proof.

Your stating that as fact, if there was proof religion wouldnt be about faith, there may be proof that there was some bloked called jesus but theres no proof that he was gods son or even that there was/is a god

There's not even a hint of proof, there's only the word of man. And sorry, the word of man is not going to convince me otherwise.

the bibles and records ?

the bibles are the hole reason people have faith. Proof is probably not the best word its more ideas and stories, which if true would be proof. The hole god thing gives people a answer which everyone wants.

Edit: Just a example say you moved into a house and a few neighbors told you that a man named tom lived in the house before you. You would consider this proof. So whats the differences apart from the evidence being a little older ?

The defense rests

Very Happy

No i'd consider it hearsay...

say you moved into a house and a few neighbors told you that a man with 2 heads lived in the house before you.

Would consider that proof?.

Everyone? Considering that 2/3rds of the planet aren't christian I'd say that was somewhat less than "everyone"

Where in that did i say "everyone". I said people, that can mean 2 or 20000000000000000 people. I said everyone wants a answer, which i guess most people do want a answer to why we are here.
