Kinda pulled the goose to bits last weekend. Got a few things planned. Smile

First off, The frame / swingarm / random other small bits are going to be powdercoated black.

Anyone got an idea of rough cost? Phoned a few but waiting calls back. Gays.

I'm in the SE if it makes a difference.

Cheers.

Whereabouts in SE and how fast do you want it done. My friend works for a company that does it and I know he got his bike done. Not sure how fast it was though Cool

Hi

Prices vary. Stuff that adds to the cost are all the small brackets and the like (about 15 years ago I got a frame powder coated and a load of small bits, then found out the handlebar end weights new from Aprilia were less than the cost of having them powder coated).

I would recommend going somewhere that is used to doing bike frames and the like. And so used to masking off bolt holes, steering head bearing positions, etc. Also some of the more industrial places will not be so worried about the finish fading / going matt.

All the best

Keith

I paid £65 to get my bandit frame done (without swingarm).

I think my place was quite cheap too.

https://www.prfinishing.co.uk/ bit of a distance, but their price might sway it.

They've done wheels, swingarms, pegs & my mtb frame in the past. Was ~£25 for a (push bike) frame and a few bits.

Last two frames I did came in at £60 each from two different companies. Bung up every hole before you send it off.

I will speak to him about it and see what he says...it was his Speed Trip frame and wheels that they did and they look top notch. Cool
