Looks like its being made.

I can imagine allot of you'll be disgusted, but at least its interesting Laughing not another sports bike and not another cruiser, like the bastard love-child of the two perhaps.

I'm surprised they've released it in all honesty, i can't really think who'll buy it?
Looks like it'd make a good quirky commuter, maybe for those that know an uberscooter would suit them but can't bring themselves to it.

(just read some of the info, its a full auto, the last honda auto bike i remember hearing of was a really rare cb400T/cb750T? something like that..)

It looks like an updated nt650v to me and the latest nt650v looks like a
big scooter at times. Smile

Like the colour though Thumbs Up and the headlights.

Looks quite futuristic.

At least it's different, which is something the motorcycle industry struggles with.

The same people that buy Bimota Tesi 2D's, Honda Dunes, etc etc. I expect the main buyer will be those with a fair wedge of cash spare and wanting to be slightly different to the crowd. There's always a market for bikes like that, just not always huge.

Thumbs Up

I quite like it myself.

Honda create a lot of new things, its just either people don't buy them or Honda succeed in making them look like they've always been there so no one pays attention Smile

Honda stated that the DN-01 would be released following the response it got in 2005.

Supposedly a low hassle commuter that will tour, with a potential market among those of us that are not so intact anymore. I kind of like but there are bike out there I like more.

I think it looks like an NTV too

The engine looks like an NTV engine which is a transalp engine effectively, they have just changed the crank case coverings and the gear box ,

otherwise its is still an NTV, ie shaft drive, single swinger, V2 600ish
CC , a change to a fazer type frame, some new bars clocks and body work,

I think it looks pretty groovy, but they should avoid selling it in red lest their customers look like Akira. Or one of the 'Biker Mice from Mars'...
