Am I right in thinking that you can't use my NCB on my XR250 seeing as I'm using it on my Ninja?

Is it possible to build up a second NCB?

Thanks chaps.

You can only have one ncd in your name and it can be used on vehicle at a time. Some insurers will offer a second vehicle discount based on your current ncd entitlement though. This would have to be with your current insurer though - if they offer it. Give them a ring.

Cheers Minty, I thought that must be the case. The insurers of my Kwak were crap for my Honda - they wanted a £450 excess making it about a third of the value of the bike. Sorted out insurance for £130 through a different company in the end for half the excess and a lower price.

I have heard of people registering the 2nd bike at their parents house and using that as their address to build up a fresh ncd. Wink

Have heard of buying a clapped out c90 using the same process too. Then you end up with 2 ncd's. Crash your proper bike and lose the ncd? No bother, switch to the other ncd and insure elsewhere.

I would never condone such activity. Very bad.

Sorry you're wrong.

Many people have NCD on both their car policies as well as their Motorcycle policies.

I have two bike policies, my traders policy and my Courier policy both of which have NCD. 15 years and 1 year respectively.
