My mrs told me about this, and to be honest I didnt believe here, however today I saw it for myself... twice!

The bloke over the road has recently bought a Focus ST and each time it rains he goes out and drys his bloody car. First he scrapes off all the water with one of those rubber blades then he shammys it dry.

All i can think of is what the fuck is he going to do when it snows Laughing

The beetle I can understand, its vintage.
But (I had to google it) the Focus looks like any boring old POS car.

Definitely a nutter.
I wanna one of them 2007 car of the year thingies - dunno what sort it is ... the one with the nice music in the ad that inanely goes "beep-beep beep-beep go the horns in the cars in the street"

I'd go out in the rain and dry one of them off Thumbs Up

The car of the year 2008 is the Fiat 500. And if you look at the list there's not a sports car in sight. Laughing

The R8 was on Dave's car of the year program. But you're right, the R8 wasn't anywhere to be seen in the actual Euro COTY list. But I'm glad the 500 won, they're fantastic little things.

I liked the fact we had two come to our garage with the windshields falling out. Laughing

Fun cars to drive.

But I would prefer last years Civic Type R.

You can kind of understand a colour like that on a supercar, not so sure on a souped up focus, its a bit like running round waving a flag shouting "look at meeeee!".

Still nice car, but clearly a problem with build quality though if you cant get it wet Laughing

My favorite part of new cars is you cant slam the bonnet like you can on an old car other wise you crease or dent it on a newer one.

Ooo and the focus's like to eat the bonnet catch (the handle I think) so you don't have to worry about opening them any ways.

galvanized dear fellow they aint rusting Rolling Eyes

put it another way... if say for arguments sake... you bought yourself a brand new bike, had no shed/garage or a bike cover and had to be left out to the elements, and it was your pride and joy, and every time you saw it rain on that precious part of your life. wouldn't you get the urge to dry her off and put her back to former glory... nah didn't think so. Laughing

I also have an insane neighbour, he is obsessed with washing his car.
He came home with his brand spanking new Focus (just an ordinary one, nothing special), straight from the showroom..... and washed and hoovered it. Obviously being brand new it wasn't actually clean enough for him.
He washes it after it rains. Every time.
He has been known to wash it multiple times in the same day, even though it hasn't actually moved in between washes. In fact he rarely drives it.
Sometimes when I get up at 6.15am the road is wet where he has already washed it that morning.
He wears shorts when he does this, regardless of the time/temperature. Even in November, he wears shorts to wash it. And he runs around, like it is a race.

We think he has OCD. I also suspect gulf war syndrome as he was in the forces.

He scares me. Shocked

Speaking of protecting cars/bikes and stuff, i was riding to work from the dentist this morning only to get stuck in traffic (cars coming other way and road to narrow to filter)

And there it was, at the side of the road. A bike covered in bubble wrap. I did almost drop my bike from laughing. I mean it must of been a mid 90's cg125 or something but still!

Rain has minimal impurites in it, so it's not really going to leave any water marks like mains water....

Confused
