After reading dam0ns post I was wondering what the effects would be on a four stroke? Would there be power increases?, mot issues?, illegalness? etc

why dont you just leave it alone? if you cut it down it will never pass an MOT unless u buy a Db killer off flea bay, and you will have to mess about with your carbs to set it all up right to get any power if theres any to get at all. if you dont fit a Db killer or anything to limit the sound then police that know anything about bikes will get you.

pass your test ride your 125 then you will get bored and buy something bigger like a 400 or a 600 then you'll get bored of that and buy a 1000 then you'll get bored of that and buy something tuned to its eyes or tune your 1000 to the extent it shoud be on the moto gp circuit.
thats the bikers way.

See the attached dyno for before and after PCIII for stubby cans.

Lower line is stubby cans with no PCIII.
Higher line is stubby cans with PCIII.

Standard I was running 110ish, so that's alot of power I've lost there!
