What price do you pay in fuel for a tank full of petrol, how far does it get you?

And which bike do you own?

Looking for an 'excuse' for why I want another bike as right now it doesnt seem in my financial interest! Tell me why it is in petrol savings! lol.

Not particularly accurate figures, I don't really give a crap about fuel economy, which seems to be a strange obsession with bikers?!

a 19 litre tank , at motorway cruising on the NTV can get about 130ish miles then I get paranoid and stop at which I can only put in another £10, so theoretically if I run it on fumes I can probably get 210ish.

And Tobes, the less I pay for fuel the more money stays in me pocket for other things and the less Gordo gets his hands on it.

CB500. 196 miles to reserve, about £16 to fill from there. Range maybe 235 miles running on fumes.

Mine does 155 miles to reserve, costs ~£14 to fill up.

Works out at roughly 52mpg commuting, 46mpg messing around.

Much more economical than the other half's Daewoo 1.4

Havent really done it myself, roughly 130, 140 to a tank.

My bike is a ZX10R, and only use Vpower.

My GSXR11, Ive only put a few quid in. Ive got no idea what its gonna be like next year.

Got a CB400 SF that gets around 100-120 miles if i give it the beans and about 130-140 if i dont.

It always seems to want £10.03 or some thing silly like that

Sports Can (ART) does affect it though i think.

Is it worth filling up on the 'super' unleaded fuels the petrol companies offer?

Bearing in mind I ride a 1989 CG125, I'm not sure what 'enhancements' have been implemented in the engine

On my varadrero 125 I used to get 250 miles for my £10

Sold that and got a gsx 600 f used to get around 155 miles for a tenner suppose you could get more if you rode sensibly.

My bandit 600s gives me 165 miles then I go and chuck another tenner in. I Never go down to the reserve. I set the trip everytime I fill the tank and keep an eye on it. AJ

Usually about £15 gets me 120ish miles if i'm good, >90 miles if i'm not.

Although i have noticed that amount drop significantly since it got cold...damn you auto choke!

At the moment i'm riding like a total granny because of the silly petrol prices. I fill to the brim, ride carefully until I hit reserve, record the milage, fill up to the brim and repeat. I lock the throttle at 4500RPM in 6th (55mph on the flat) and don't deviate from this unless the speed limit drops. Boring but it really works though.

306 miles on a single tank (did 296 before hitting reserve - one day I will crack 300 )

Cost £17 to fill to the brim. Petrol was 99.9p/litre.

I think that works out at a shade under 80mpg. Not bad for a 500.

It takes discipline and you get overtaken by everything but why give my money to a fat politician when I can save it for myself?

If petrol prices continue to rise like this (my local Tesco is £1.01 a litre now) I'm giving the 140mpg 150cc Honda Unicorn serious consideration. Failing that it will be back to another 100mpg Honda CG125 again.
