I have somebody's home address, Stinkwheel once suggested signing them up for masses of junk mail as a way of getting somebody back , after discovering somebody gave me a terrible reference when I say bad reference I don't mean worked from date X to date Y.

She really laid into me , and mostly untrue since I'm the keep me head down type. I still got the job, but got hauled over hot coals about it here in this job due to this.

However I feel that I should live up to some of the nasty things she said about me , and since I'm not the ligating kind I thought it might be fun to sign her up to tons of junk mail.

An obvious method for this is to trawl for free things on the net and enter HER home details on these websites, the one in my Sig being a good example.

However I sort of worry about my IP address being tracked back to me and erm bad things happening to me as a result of this,

Or should I go spoof me MAC address and do a bit of war driving on open access points? (I know at least 4 public ones nearby or net cafe?).

or am I just being nasty?

BG info this person talks down at people and humilates people infront of others , get grilled by this person and they make you feel 10 inches tall.

This is of course completely hypothetical of course as I reckon karma will sort it out :wink

when she gave the ref Im guessin she gave verbal consent for the information to be passed back on to you.

Is it possible to do something about it legally if you have proof otherwise before you take the other route ?

er no , I found out from the secretary who was asked to type it up for her, who I am still friendly with.

As said I'm not a litigous type and how do you value the damage that has been done since I got the job..? ,

Get yourself some envelopes, a pile of stamps and the Sunday papers. Send her details to every advert you see, holidays, sex shops, catalogues, everything. It isn't free but you can't be traced.

Not sure what you can find on the net to cause that much mail? Insurance and stuff I suppose?

Do it the old fashioned way, back pages of tabloid newspapers. A lot of them you just need to "phone for an information pack". Failing that, by post.

The very worst ones are posturepedic beds, make sure you get this one on the list, they are incessant.

Oh, you could always run a few online insurance quotes (home and vehicle) using her details. Norwich Union in particular are bastards for bombarding you with junk mail if you are foolish enough to give them your real address.

Maybe quotes for a few unsecured personal loans too. "simply call our advisor now on 0800 1234567" Get the quote using her address and watch the letters come flooding in.

Be aware, the volume of mail this can generate is unbelievable.

There is a guy in American who heats his entire house by burning junkmail obtained in this way.

EDIT: Oh yeah. National tourist boards. I recently enquired about visiting Iceland and was sent a good telephone directories thickness of brochures. I actually wanted that information but it occurrs to me that there are a hell of a lot of countries in the world who might want to attract tourists.
