Last night our house was broke in to , £40 cash ,all the cameras (£200) , hifi systems(£150), ps2's ,air rifles(£100) ,cans of beer , and every thing else of value has gone. Sad

The guy who broke in took a can of beer and drank it and left the empty can on the work top so there might be DNA on there.

BUT, I know who has done this , one of my "mates"(Nick lyons) (23) came round the other day and took £10 off the side ( I noticed) and said to him to give it back , at which point he pushed me and then walked off.

The thing is I'm NOT allowed to have people round well dad is in work so what do I do ? Because I 100% know its him who broke in.

And the gear that he took is most proberbally at his house.

Some one please tell me what the right thing to do is?

The lad left his cap here ( same night as the money was took ) so should I say that I found it after last night ? as that WILL have his DNA on.

Crying or Very sad

luckily I hide the garage key so the Ariel and other bikes are all fine.

Please some one help me out my dad would go mad at me if I tell him I had some one round.

The police have come round and took the beer can for forensics

And also finger printed every were.

I hope they find something out from the can as that way I would not have to tell dad about having some one round here.

EDIT: this lad has stole money off me before £5, I didn't say nothing to him at the time though , so the seccond time he took money I had a reall go at him and we had a big argument.

Double EDIT: This this should really of been in Aunty bcf , sorry modz.

That sucks Jamie, I know how you feel. We were burgled a few weeks ago. Tell your Dad and the police the name of the guy you had ruond and his address. They may well recover all your stuff then.

I would do it straight away as well, the longer you leave it the less chance of getting all your gear.

Cheers joe , I told dad who I think has done it but not why I think he done it.

Will the police be allowed to search his house just on "my word"?

Tell him why - it further backs up your claim. He might be a bit cross but he'll probably be more grateful for the info so he can get his stuff back.

The police will need a warrant (I think) to search his house and this will be more likely to happen if you tell them about him nicking the fiver.

They'll more than likely call round to his place and ask to have a look around anyway. Tell your Dad he was in your house.

Feel for you Jamie.

Go to the police yourself and tell them the full story. You don't have to tell your dad about having your mate round.
PS this mate sounds like a right cnut!! Twisted Evil get him done over.

Oh and by the way, because he's your 'mate' and has been around your house before as a guest, most evidence will be void as he can argue he drank that can of beer earlier when he was at yours.

This happened to my mate a few years ago.

Have you got home contents insurance? please say you do! and if you do then it's not so bad, didnt you have a top of the range £2000 hifi?

Good idea mate, VERY good idea , cheers , no doubt they will call round later on any way so will speek to one of them in privet then and see what he says.

I was not here last night and dad was the one who locked up the house at around 8 pm, he knows for a fact that the can was not there when he left. so there is still hope.

We had a with-held phone call (last night) at 12:30 ( he knows the house phone number) so my guess is he rang to see if I was in or not.

He only lives 5 mins walk away from here you see.

How about NOT posting stuff on a public forum accusing someone of some thing they haven't been proven to do. Its called libel, and you could get done for it.

jamie stokes wrote:

And also, DON'T post your intentions to knowingly mislead the police - that is ALSO a criminal offence!!

There are plenty of people here that would love to fuck you over Jamie - why give then ammo?

I sympathise with your situation, but really you should think a little before you start posting this sort of stuff.

Jamie, the guy took £10 and pushed you of the way when you tried to get it back and left with it. That, technically, is robbery. Tell the police about that, make it a formal complaint, and tell them that's why you suspect it's him who has also burgled your house.

Technically its also assault as well.

Jamie never let that scrote in your house again, think you have realised now he is and never was a friend.

Go to the Police and tell them the truth, don't fabricate anything as it will come back and bite you!

Tell your dad, he'll be more upset with you if he found out that you were holding information back.

Jamie you have been had big time. I agree with JakeSM50 why are you hanging around with a 23 year old who has obviously taken the piss out of you by robbing you. he done it before you just said and you let him back in your home after that?! Shocked

If someone stole of me i wouldnt let them near the place even if i suspected them.

As you said your dad would go mad cause your not allowed mates in the house, i think he was wise not to let you as thats the mates you keep but unwise was he trusting you in the first place not to.

Your going to have to e truthful and honest, thats the only way you will get a result, so get a pair and tell your dad what you done because you deserve what you get for it IMO, its how people learn by making mistakes. Your dad will find out eventually anyway when he notices stuff missing and your wont ever be trusted again for not even saying.

Can you prove it was this so called mate that done it?

I do feel sorry for you but you shouldnt have people like that round you anyway.

I think you'll find the assault component is encompassed by the charge of robbery.

But they will want to speak to your dad as your under 18 and need a legal gardian i think. He will find out you know, do you plan on telling him the truth because he ill find out from the police as you will have to give a statement.

Tell your dad now Jamie, he would not be happy you feel you can't tell him, plus it'll be worse if it comes from the police, or you while they're there. Thumbs Up
