As I don't have a garage, I keep my bikes on the drive with a waterproof cover. However, I am not happy with this and wonder if there are any other solutions out there? I have heard of bike sheds and such like, but can anyone point me in the right direction to get one? I want something that is solid so that my dogs can't do too much damage to it. I have a Kawasaki GPZ500 and my wife rides a Yamaha V Star 1300.

Thanks

Simon

Same here. My bike cover is ok, but when its already wet it seems a bit stupid putting it over my bike.

Tried to dry it out this weekend (supposed to be dry till this night!), but its just pissed it down.
Grrrrr

I had a helluva time this afternoon trying to dry my bike with a towel and put the bike cover over the dry bits before they got wet again. I wish there was a better storage solution for people who don't have a garage. My cardboard-backed L-plates have just melted in the general dampness outdoors, and I'm going to have to come up with a better solution. I hate leaving my bike outdoors in the wet cold weather Sad

I know.. it feels like I'm just neglecting it Embarassed

Does anyone have a decent tip for keeping a bike cover dry all the time? Its not exactly feasible to bring it inside and leave it on the radiator Smile
Might have to put up a Gazebo!

Forgot to mention that I have steps leading up to my house, so my neighbour kindly lets me store it in their yard. Can't really take the piss and put a shed in there LOL

Thanks for the replies. The bike barn looks good but wouldn't be secure enough to keep the dogs off. I think a shed of some sort is going to be the best option. I'll let you know if I find anything.

When I want to keep the dog off, I just go and tell her to do the dishes, or tidy up the living room or something

I'm assuming its more than 2 or 3 steps? Known a few people to make ramps to solve it.

Ask your local council if they have any garages for rent. i have 1 i pay £35 a month for. it's dry, secure and they didn't mind me drilling holes in the floor for my anchor point.
