Schuberth C2 helmet choice...........

Hi folks........Just a quickie! Im after a new helmet after my Shoei Raid 2 decided to fall apart. I like the thought of having a flip-up lid and fancied one of the above. Has anyone had or got one of the above and what do/did you like/dislike about it.......G

I've just bought one and am pleased with it.

The built in sun visor is great - no more wearing sunglasses on the bike.

It also does a really good job of cutting out road/bike noise from underneath the helmet.

Its easy to open/close and has little pins that are visible if the flip-down isn't locked in place properly.

All round visibilty is also good

I was expecting it to be heavy due to it being a flip up type but it doesn't feel heavy when wearing it at all.

Mine is the gloss black one which has the Schuberth decals (front and rear) done in reflective vinyl. There's also a reflective patch on the rear padding.

I have the Schuberth C2 and S1 helmet.

The C2 likes, good field of vision, the flip front, the sun shade which is easy to get up and down when needed, and how quiet the helmet is. Good vents. Very comfortable. Quality of finish is very good aswell.

Dislikes, not a lot really. Although it has a anti mist coating on visor, condensation does occur in the cold weather. Rather than misting up, it gets blurry from the condensation.. Nothing an additional pinlock will not cure though!

I think I tried that one on, but went for the Caberg Justismo GT in the end which gets a big Thumbs Up

from me, apart from the Sunvisor. That's including (crash) testing it.

I had the first Caberg Justissimo..Not the GT version. Found it to be extremely noisy. Loved the idea of the visor and flip front when I first came to use it, but the noise was too much. Rather than sticking in earplugs everytime I used it, I went for the Schuberth C2. Thumbs Up

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like I will get one. Just wondering though, on the question of them misting up, would it be possible to atatch the Pinlock visor system to these helmets?

I tried a shoei flip up once (most of my helmets have been shoei) and didn't like how little room they had - the visor was virtually on my nose.

I have a recently got a flip front calberg but the noise is really loud and i am only on a 125.

but I dont think I would go back to a full non flip helmet its so much more practical with a flip front

I will try the Multitec but after the last episode with a Shoei I would be very wary of buying one. I would rather try something different. All in all it boils down to which one is the better fit but like I said Shoei arent quite anywhere near the top of my wish list.

I've got a C2 (and an S1, and I've had a C1) and it's a great helmet.

The drop down sunvisor is a godsend for those of us who wear glasses.

Look on ebay for cheap ones from German dealers. I bought mine for £197 + £14 postage and it arrived in three or four working days. Thumbs Up
