Yes i know they dont exist but that you buy them in woolworths etc etc etc...

but... my friend (who i dont like at all) is adement that they exist to the point that he has bet my proper friend £35 that they exist sooo.....

As he is so determined to proove they exist me and my real friend are going thinking of "installing powerbands" for him at £20 plus "parts" and "labour" so say.... £40 all together Cool

sooo... heres what were thinking of doing, if you can think of a way to improve then please do:

1.take out the airbox,
2.remove all air filters,
3.use two nails/screws on either side of air intake pipe inside air box.
4.strech elastic bands across screws and claim it is a "powerband"

Is removing the air filters on the bike likely to destroy the bike as this is not the intended plan?

Just to avoid any bad feelings and wanker calling, this kid isnt a real biker, hes a chav (yes a real chav) who got some money and bought himself a chinese 125, i dont think his insurance is 100% valid and it isnt taxed, he has no indicators and sh!t brakes and rides like a complete and utter tw@t!, i wouldnt try and rip off a proper biker.

Hi

Put it this way, if one of the nails come loose it is likely to destroy the engine.

All the best

Oh that's fine then, rip him off Rolling Eyes

I think you're a twat, does that mean I can rip you off? Nice morals there.

I actually agree with Toby here. No matter how much of a twat he is doesn't give you the right to con £40 out of him. Why not just show him the wiki page?

Just sounds like you're eager to make a few bob so you've come up with some piss poor reasoning to justify yourself.

To the above three posts, to be honest your probably all right and i am trying to justify myself but then this person has tried ripping me (and many others) off before, several times, when i havent done anything to him, in my mind i deserve some form of come back and he needs to learn that he cant go around scamming people.

However, as i said before, completely ruining his bike is way out of order so it looks like the powerband idea is out of the window as apperently removing the filters can lead to a holed piston and a siezed engine.

What's wrong with elbow dropping him in the face? Scamming a scammer isn't going to work out well.

do it, and then take the £40 and wrap it in a elastic band. Attach a printed page of article about powerbands from wikipedia. Then hide it under the seat.

Tell him the power bands are under the seat.

he is bound to have a look a bit later... He will feel a right nob Thumbs Up

Get him to get the 'powerbands' and bring them and the bike to you, Get a couple of £ of him and wrap them round the part of the grips closest to the yokes and get him to see the difference Angelic Shifty

Meh, it DOES exist. Ste sold them on e-bay years ago! I was tempted to buy a couple. Does anybody still have links to the pics (auction definitely dead)? You can prove him wrong that way!

Just abit confused about this but if you dont like him, why do you evan talk to him?

if i did not like someone i would not talk to them meet up with them or make any effort at all so why do you class him as a mate?

Is it one of them friends that your other friends are friends with? I have one of those. Guy comes out with me and my friends but I don't particularly like him.
