Cheapest method remove exhaust.....

Or if you have a 2nd exhaust cut it and make a beer can silencer, with very little padding in.

Yeam just get a spare downpipe, a length of scrap pipe, a beer can, some exhaust paste and 2 hose clip thingies (cant remember the real name). Use the can to stick the bits together using the paste and the clips to hold it all on. Bodge up an exhaust mount from wire.
Hey presto, one pikey engineering straight through pipe.

I did this on my car to make a side exit, worked fine (till I bounced it off the floor and it fell off)

Anyone know if this'll adversely affect the running of a CG if I employ the same method?

Attach a plastic card to the forks so it sticks in the spokes. The flapping noise will make it sound like a real motorbike.

You can make a bike make odd noises by hanging a couple of short bits of chain underneath it so they just trail on the ground. Also makes sparks at night.
