Exhaust Repair

Hi Guys,
I need to repair my lovely pipe
After an unfortunate event with some diesel (Grrrrr F**K)
its made abit of a mess to my bike and my pipe.
Need some new rivet bands and abit of playing about but should be ok (no dents or leaks)
What do i need? i can get the bands but i also heard i need to replace the outlet? or billet? is this necessary?
The can is fine it just looks messy with them bands on it.

Also what do i need to replace the rivets? what size/type and what rivet tool (anything special?)

You are one lucky man that you didn't the the black part of the can!
You will need rivets a rivet gun and some good drills, and of course the new bands , I would contact the exhaust manufacturer for details of where to get them.

Yeah the pipe manufacturer is only down the road (handmade) but he wants to replace the outlet etc... which will be more ££ and right now i need bike parts and a re-spray, im only young and not made of ££ so i cant be splashing out on replacing new parts with new parts when it isnt necessary.
Hopefully found some bands on the net.

Anyone know the standard diameter for a trioval? 110mm is round but is trioval and bigger?

For the end straps I once heated up some Meccano (the toys we had as kids) and wrapped them round polished them up and lacquered them then riveted them back on made a lovely job.
the main strap may polish up or shot down to homebase and get some thin steel cheap repair and will look almost like new.

Think ill just spint the main strap round, You'll never see the back.
Meccano lol sounds fun! but maybe not on trioval.
I can get BS standard marked ones for about £10

Does anyone know what length bands ill need for a trioval pipe?
110mm Seems to be the size for oval, will trioval be any bigger?
