Parents are the hardest to buy for. I always ask my parents what they want and they always say "nothing".

I noticed their kettle was getting on a bit and so bought them a kettle which has an in built brita filter, I think they will like it, but at the same time it's a bit bloody domestic.

www.lakeland.co.uk

These two have stopped me buying the same old gift vouchers for grandmothers this year - and Amazon has help with nearly everything else Thumbs Up

Bought clothes & undies for my Mum. She would kill me if I bought her something for the kitchen. Just as I would kill anyone who bought me something for the kitchen.
Voucher from a local model railway shop for my Dad, plus a desktop digital photo frame from Maplin.
Next vouchers for my brother and his wife.
Nintendo DS games for my niece and nephew.
A breadmaker for the in-laws. This is ok as they're not my parents
Girlie toiletries & hair accessories for some friends

Well I normally just ask the folks what they want - last year I got them a bells & whistles coffee maker type thing - with the frother and all that shit.

As I said in the other thread, the 'big' event is my daughter - first chrimbo and all that. She's getting a quality 'Noah's Ark' soft toy set from us, and a ride on ladybird from my folks, and lord knows what else! As you have provided me with this excuse for futher photo whoring, here she is in her festive get up:

That's a coincidence - I'm buying a kettle for my sister, although she has specified that it must be white which is much harder than it seems these days!

I can't say what I am getting/have got my parents because Pops regularly browses this site.

All you can get these days are silver kettles!

The kettle I got them has got a "keep warm" feature and I know my parents love gimmicks, so should be a winner!

I got my sister some cool shoes from schuh, a big piggy money box and one of those 1970 retro toys that looks like a magic wand, but you turn it upside down and it makes a funny noise.

Oh my Dad is really tight with money as well so I bought him a book called "How to save money in every aspect of life". Hopefully he will see the funny side. Laughing
