I need some advice, now i know its a bike forum, but there is some DJ's on here.

Basically i currently have a Pair of Stanton STR8-150's, and their great, however i want to go a bit more modern. Now ive had two options available to me i see.

There is Serato Scratch Live, which ive heard of but never ever used. So was wondering, is it easy to set up and start mixing with?

Then theres sacking my Turntables off and getting a pair of CD decks, like Pioneer CDJ 1000's or something similar.

Also does anyone know of a dedicated DJ forum?

CDJ's will be fine, they are good reliable bits of kit.

If you want better decks get 1210's

Thumbs Up

Stantons are just as good if not better than the 1210's, more Torquey and just as robust.

So should i go with the CDJ's or keep my decks and go serato?

Also are cd decks compatable with CD R's and CD RW?

Whichever you prefer, Technics and Stantons are like the RS Vs Mito debate. Thumbs Up

So do i go with a name i know or go with the pioneers.

Also in the mean time, how do i go about connecting my TT's to my pc and then connecting my pc to my hifi?

My mate has one CDJ and one something else Confused , it has a couple of effects on there. The CDJ is built well, Groverider uses them i think.

Go for a newish pair of 1210's and they will become one with the user.

You could purchase an external sound card for all your connection problems. Thumbs Up

I'm sorry, I don't really understand.

You've been posting for weeks about how you are short of money and then in the space of 24 hours you decide you have enough disposable income to upgrade your PC and get some decks.

Get your priorities straight or stop asking for advice if you aren't going to listen. Rolling Eyes

You also obviously dont read posts thoroughly either, somewhere in that post i made a few weeks back, i put that i was starting a new job, last monday.

Hence why after christmas, and once ive paid my small debt off £413 its down to now from £1200 im purchasing either some CD decks or Serato.

But then again Jon, why im explaining myself to you i do not know, your neither my father, step Father, Elder brother, nor are you my financial advisor, now jog on son. Thumbs Up

what he said, tho it dont have to be 1210's there is 1200's aswell - same shit, diff colour

they've never been changed cause they are the industry (best) standard.... i got 1 1200 & 1 1210 & wouldnt change them for any other deck.... CD OR VINYL, the newer techys have a adjustable pitch (obviously not the normal adjustable pitch - its a button aswell as the slider)

It's far from dedicated to anything any more, but this site still has a fair few active DJ's; questions like this come up all the time.

Yet again man not machine! , c'mon nobody has heard you do a night yet, Babyyam probably knows a few promoters, or try something like faking it on TV so we can watch you make a prat of yourself.
