Heyo,
Just riding home from practising U turns, and in a single track country lane, about 25mph ish, very very slight left turn, front goes out from under me
Im going to go back in the morning and see what it is on the road there
Damage to bike: Indicators right side, both fecked
Right front fairing, upper and lower scuffed
number plate bit needs putting back on
Im ok, was wearing my new leathers. helmet didnt touch the ground which is good
Well, im off to replace the indicators. Will have some photos later.
And im fine |

Well, i have put my old brick indicators back on for the moment. The work fine, and they dont blip faster as i rev. The exhaust you can barely notice is scuffed, and i will touch up the paint with a paint pen.
The road i went back to look at with my dad. looking at it, I lost traction on mud/leaves in the centre, and then slid to the left, into a rut made by a tractor/ lorry/ car, and then the front came out of that, and then just dropped to the right. the bike then dropped, slid about 25 feet, and came to a halt
I cant be bothered about putting oil on the road etc etc. im just going to put it down to experience. My knee is aching, and my back in twinging every so often when i bend it |

unlucky stephen .
craig you are spot on, infact it was nearly me two nights ago, i was coming home from playing snooker wit my mate on the back of the moped. i went to turn right at the traffic lights and my front wheel was going from underneath me, luckily i wasnt going too fast and got my foot down and held the bike up.....looked at the road the next day on the way to college, they had been doing road works on the other side of the road and there was gravel all over the road & because it was dark and raining i couldnt see the gravel! |

Im putting this one down to back luck/ experience. I have done that road in the day light and dry at about 70ish Its straight, and can see stuff coming. Its a nicer road in the dry!! But i was doing about 25mph in the wet/ dark and came off. Having had this crash, I will much more careful aout staying in a wheel track in the wet. learn from everyones mistakes! Dont wait for it to happen to you
Indicators fixed. Number plate fixed. Just need a paint pen to fix the fairing up a bit |

lol, saying that stephen i managed to come of mine at 2 mph on wet leaves round the back of college. so it wasnt to bad no one saw me,
bike wouldnt start for a good 15 mins though. hmm strange.
I alaways seem to come off at speeds between 2mph and 5mph, once i'm past there i'm fine.. lol.
No damage to the bike, not even scuffs. it pretty much landed on the leaves... so a bit of luck as it where.
the first thing i checked though was the mini indicators i put on a few days before and thought as i was picking it up.
this is gonna be sods law, and the damn indicator is gonna be broke...
and hurray it wasnt!!
Grrr damn my low speed crashes, thats 2 i've had now. lol ____________________ Regards

Things like that just seem to happen for no apparent reason...
Glad you're okay and that the bikes not damaged badly. |

yeah, damage isnt too bad. Remind me never to ride in shorts! I was going about 20mph, and scuffs on leathers etc. wouldnt want that to be my knee
For repainting it, I would need to sand it down, and a small area around it, undercoat of grey, and then the actual black, maybe a second or third of black, and then laquer over the top? Im just going to do this for the two large black areas, and tocuh the silver up with a paint pen. Will this work? |
