Hello,
As some of you already know, I'm wanting to part with my NC30 because I want a bigger bike again. I've done a lot of work on it and repaired a lot of things that were wrong with it when I bought it. I'm in no real rush to sell, but I thought I'd list it here just to gauge reaction.
I've replaced the front wheel and brake discs, as the white front wheel that was on there had a small ding in it, and the discs were warped. I've replaced it with a black wheel. I also have the black rear to go with it, but haven't been bothered to change it. I also still have the front which should be repairable, meaning you can have a choice of black or white wheels.
The current race exhaust is a bit rusty and covered in pinholes, but I've bought an OE stainless system from ebay which I will include with the sale. The end can could be cut off of this system so that the existing race can could be attached on the 'good' system if required.
The bike is visually and mechanically in very good condition, and I've recently given her a service and done various other jobs such as fit goodridge braided hoses on the front brake and fit some OE rearsets. I also have a set of Japanese rearsets for the bike which I can also include in the sale. It has a pretty nice aftermarket paintjob which makes the bike stand out from the crowd.
It rides very well, the suspension is in good condition and still has all of its damping. The rear shock is the later remote reservoir model which is rebuildable, unlike earlier NC30's. The engine is willing and feels torquey for a 400, and makes a great noise.
The bad bits:
It has a bit of a scrape on the right hand fairing lower, but it isn't that noticeable and should be a relatively easy repair. Currently the rear brake doesn't work all that well, but I think it just needs bleeding and it is likely that I might get around to doing that before it sells. The rear brake does also have a goodridge braided hose on it too, so it should be good when sorted. The front mudguard rattles a bit, but it doesn't touch the front wheel so its only an annoyance really.

It has a nearly new set of bridgestone sporty road tyres, MOT until april and tax until march. For the full asking price I'll throw in the spare set of wheels, rearsets and any other spares I've got lying about, otherwise I might ebay them seperately.
The price is £1400, for which you get the lot, but I'm open to near offers for the bike on its own (the exhaust will be included anyway as its probably needed for an MOT).
Send me a PM if you're interested, the bike is located in Reading, Berkshire.
Thanks,
Mark. ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |
