My ride weekend before last...

Not what you would expect, most of it was very boring Motorway, untill I got to Portsmouth. Met up with all my old friends from my Uni daze.

I was part of the Uni bike club while I was there. We met up with the Horse Riding club Very Happy

for a joint social saturday we took them out on the bikes 6/9 said they are going to be buying bikes soon Laughing

We did our jobs. Then all went out on the lash together. Next morning it was our turn.

Meet lofty a 17.2 hand ex police riot horse, bear in mind I'm 6'5" thats how big he was, as I get on I here from the side some of the girls talking "Oh my god who is getting on lofty" and the term "Psyco-horse" was used. What had I let myself in for. In the end he was a very good horse and I really enjoyed it apart from being worried it would bite my face off. I would recomend it to anyone it is a really strange feeling riding something that moves like that (No funny comments please)

We did go out of the compound but no photos of that, good fun!

My sister did horse riding a few years back so I booked in for some lessons. Was not bad to be honest altho afterwards it felt like my legs had been split apart and I walked like I had cacked myself Laughing

I soon stoped as I had to travel to south London for it.
Funny things happened but the funniest has to be my sister holding on rather tight when the horse suddenly bowed its head rather fast - I think you can guess what happened next. Razz

Only time I've been on a horse, Mexico 2000.

I wore shorts with no pants as was told that half way round we'd be going swimming. Bouncing up and down on a very hard saddle with no protection gives you some sore gooseberries.

strange enough the OH had a horse when i met her and i used to ride him for her when she got tired. was a great laugh and was close to getting the hang of it, i dont like horses on the road cos they spook easy and when i see a horse i it the clutch and roll but that scares em more. i slow down to like 5mph too when i see them. they always say thanks but its no problem for me at all. Thumbs Up

Horse Riding really is SO much fun, i'm an experienced rider and have been riding for 12 years.

I think men concentrate to hard on keeping there bit out of harms way, my friend learnt to ride with me a few years back, he was a natural.
Don't ride where i live anymore though so i never really get a chance to ride Sad
