Do you mean a Yamaha R1-Z?

It used a TDR250 engine, which means that it's a parallel twin? Confused

All I wanna know is some performance specs (top speed/s. quarter etc) Thought you may be able to help a bit more than you have Tintin....I mean you do spend 99.99999% of your time on the net don't you? hold it....sorted

found some info...heres an extract if you're interested...

Yamaha SDR/R1-Z
Back to weird Yamaha strokers. Anyone who thinks Yamaha were copying Ducati with their lattice framed TRX850 ought to go back to 1987 and take a look at the SDR. An all or nothing 34hp stroker mill in a tubular lattice frame that hit the scales at an enticing 230lbs! Fun's the only way to describe it. The same trip reappeared in the 1990 R1-Z, a 250ccc stroker twin that made 45 horses at 9500 revs, though weighed in at 300lbs. They turn up for less than £1500 if you can take a chance on the stroker longevity (and check for crash damage, please).

yet more...
YAMAHA R1-Z

1991 on, 249cc w/c t/s twin,
40hp, 110mph, 45mpg, 295lb
Bare bones, white knuckle stroker twin. Engine's tough except for clutch, difficult to derestrict without ruining low down power. Both rear disc and mono-shock bearings succumb to harsh winter weather and electrical burn-outs are not unknown around 30k. Proper seat and bars make it rather comfortable and practical

When the R1 (1000cc) first came out and I got one the insurance company only had the R1-Z (or whatever it's called) listed, so they insured me as having one of them. I questioned them about it, but they were adamant that they were right...so I got fully comp for £141 hehehe....they changed their minds 3 months later...but agreed that I didn't have to stump up the difference.............lol.
